CEO Olaya García
Olaya grows up surrounded by beehives, honeycombs, and beekeeping equipment, thanks to her mother, María Antonia García, who runs La Casa del Apicultor, a family business with over 30 years of experience in the sector. In 2008, after being diagnosed with an intolerance to the petrochemicals (petroleum derivatives) in sunscreens, she decides to research natural solutions to her problem together with her mother (a biologist). This research leads to the birth of SeaSkin, the first high-end holistic cosmetic biotechnology line created entirely in Spain (D.O.), which combines their family tradition of beekeeping, their knowledge of the marine environment, and a sensitivity toward Eastern phytocosmetic therapies.
